Resources for Applying

Queens College of Theology is committed to making the admissions process clear, supportive, and accessible for students who feel called to ministry, leadership, and theological education. While our programs are delivered fully online, our admissions team works closely with students, families, and counselors to ensure each applicant is well supported throughout the process.

We recognize that applying to a college can raise unique questions. This guide is designed to equip counselors with the information and resources needed to confidently guide students through the Queens College of Theology application process.

If you have questions at any point, we welcome direct communication. Please contact us at admission@queenstheology.org.

How to Apply

Students apply to Queens College of Theology through our online admissions portal. Students will receive access to the portal by working with a QCT Academic Advisor. It's required that each student become assigned to an academic advisor who will be their advocate throughout the entire admission process, and this academic advisor will schedule the hearing before the admission committee to make a case for the student to be considered for admission. Advisors will help students in selecting the appropriate program, reviewing documentation, and preparing for file to be the best representation of that student before the Admission Committee.

First-Year Applicants

First-year applicants are students who are applying directly from high school or who have not previously completed college-level coursework. Applicants must have earned (or be on track to earn) a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent. For students who are still enrolled in high school and make the decision to apply at QCT, their GPA must be above 2.5 at the time of applying.

Early Admission Consideration

Queens College of Theology reviews applications on a rolling basis. Because we intentionally limit the number of students admitted each semester, early application is strongly encouraged. Admission decisions are competitive, and submitting materials early increases the likelihood of consideration for available seats. With that said, admission offers are generally only for the next available term. If a student needs to be considered for admission on a subsequent later term, they must work with their advisor to submit proper down payments to secure their seat in the requested semester.

Standardized Testing Requirements

Queens College of Theology does not require standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) for admission. Our review process focuses on academic readiness, vocational calling, and the student’s ability to succeed in an online learning environment. If a student wishes to submit standardized testing scores before the admission committee to better their admission application file, they are able to do so. Coordinate the submission of the paperwork with the assigned admission advisor.

English Language Proficiency

Applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate English language proficiency. Students must locate an approved English language testing center near their place of residence, complete the required examination, and submit official test scores as part of their admissions application.

Accepted scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to Queens College of Theology through an approved electronic submission method.

If this policy applies to the student, they must disclose such to their academic advisor who will provide them with a list of testing centers that are approved, near their residence.

Applying for Financial Aid & Tuition Planning

Queens College of Theology does not participate in U.S. Title IV federal financial aid programs. However, we are deeply committed to helping students complete their education debt-free.

Every admitted student works directly with an academic advisor to develop a personalized tuition payment plan. These plans are designed to fit real-life financial circumstances while allowing students to progress steadily toward degree completion without taking on student loan debt.

Submitting Documents

Queens College of Theology accepts electronic documents only. Paper documents are not accepted at our office.

Documents may be submitted as:

  • Original electronic records
  • Certified copies (bearing an official registrar’s signature or institutional seal)
  • Unofficial documents for initial review (official copies will be required for final processing)

All transcripts and test scores must be sent directly from an official source to be considered valid.

Official sources include:

  • A school official employed by the issuing institution
  • A nationally or internationally recognized testing agency
  • Approved community or educational organizations, as permitted by Admissions

Documents submitted from any other source require prior approval.

Admissions documents should be sent electronically to:
admission@queenstheology.org

International & Non-U.S. Education Documents

Students attending non-U.S. institutions are required to have final graduation documents authenticated by our accrediting body, the Association of Christian Education (ACE).

Authentication typically includes:

  • Verification of institutional legitimacy
  • Confirmation of graduation credentials
  • Evaluation of academic equivalency

There is a required evaluation fee assessed by ACE. Details and instructions will be provided to students during the admissions process. Failure to have their transcripts evaluated by the Association of Christian Education will result in immediate denial of admission.

While Queens College of Theology welcomes international students to our academic community, we do not sponsor or participate in any immigration or student visa programs.

Agents & Third-Party Services

Queens College of Theology does not support or recognize the use of agents, recruiters, or for-profit organizations in the admissions process.

We work directly and exclusively with:

  • Applicants and their schools
  • Local governments
  • Non-profit and community-based organizations

Applicants who enlist third parties to complete any portion of the application risk disqualification. This includes third party applicant aggregators who submit the admission application to multiple colleges at once. All submissions are subject to verification to protect against fraud and plagiarism.

Campus Visits & Virtual Orientation

As a fully online institution, Queens College of Theology does not offer on-campus tours. However, we provide virtual orientations and information sessions for prospective students throughout the year.

These sessions allow students to:

  • Meet with an admissions advisor
  • Connect with a currently enrolled student
  • Learn about programs, expectations, and online learning life

These orientation webinars must be RSVP'd, and must have a minimum of 4 prospective students in attendance. Any fewer than 4 students who reserve a spot for an information session will result in cancellation.

Admission Selectivity

Admission to Queens College of Theology is competitive. Each semester, we intentionally limit enrollment to preserve academic quality, mentorship, and student support. It's important we keep low teacher to student ratios. As a result, not all qualified applicants may be offered admission.
